ABOUT US

Penny Lane is our adorable beagle.  She joined our family on Christmas Eve, 2006 and we have enjoyed her antics ever since.  She was adopted from our local animal shelter here in the Florida Keys and she continues to entertain us.  In July of this year we ventured to the local shelter once more and fell in love with Jeffrey - a two-year old basset hound.  It was our belief that they would keep each other company.  How wrong we were!  Penny tolerated Jeffrey, begrudgingly at first, although she has since become accustomed to him, but not before pushing him into our canal more than once.  Naturally, Jeffrey has learned to eat his meals swiftly because any slacking, then Penny moves right in to steal anything left behind.  She also has a penchant for tissues and cotton balls and anything else appealing to her in our trash cans.

They both love to go running on the beach and fishing but we do have to keep the bait away from Penny.  She is a true beagle!! She is also an avid ghecko chaser, while Jeffrey enjoys chasing coconuts and is the best cuddler ever.

Our newest addition to our family is a female beagle called Hope.  She has had quite a sad and traumatic life and we are estimating that she is between 6-8 years old.  She showed up on our doorstep one day and she just seemed to fit right in with our pack.  She loves Jeffrey and uses him as a pillow and laying post and he doesn't seem to mind at all.  She is happy and is just so happy to be loved and fussed over.
